RED, WHITE & WRANGELL: A 4TH OF JULY TRADITION
PARADE CHEERS • HOMETOWN PRIDE • FIREWORKS OVER THE WATER
Wrangell’s 4th of July is kind of a big deal around here—the kind of big deal that gets circled on calendars, talked about in the grocery store, and remembered long after the last sparkle fizzles out.
It’s when the whole town shows up to eat good food, play games, run races (or cheer loudly for the people who run races), and spend time with the folks we love. And somehow, every year, former Wrangellites and regular visitors make the journey back—because once you’ve done the Wrangell 4th of July, “just staying home” doesn’t feel like a real option.
Wrangell is a community with a lot of heart—and a serious respect for tradition. This celebration has been bringing out the pride, the joy, and the hometown spirit for generations… with just enough friendly competition to keep things interesting.
